Belarusian citizens will be able to find out within one working day whether they are subject to restrictions on leaving the country. The measure is provided for in a decree signed today by Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
The decree, which aims to improve the operation of the database containing information on Belarusian citizens whose right to leave the country has been temporarily restricted, expands the technical capabilities for information exchange between government agencies and strengthens the protection of data stored in the database.
Citizens will be able to obtain information about any travel restrictions at any citizenship and migration office. The time required to provide this information has been reduced to one working day.
