US President’s Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale commented on suggestions that the Russia–Ukraine war has taken a back seat amid developments in the Middle East. He spoke while answering journalists’ questions following talks with Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
“These are different conflicts. Naturally, for Russia and Ukraine, the situation in Ukraine is far more important than what is happening in the Middle East. For Iran, the United States, and Israel, what is happening in the Middle East is far more important. Therefore, the situation is very fluid and changes every day,” he said.
