A tanker carrying 26 tonnes of cement overturned near the agrotown of Shchomyslitsa in the Minsk District. The accident occurred today at around 1:45 p.m., according to the Minsk Regional Traffic Police.
A 79-year-old driver of a Hyundai Solaris was travelling from Minsk. According to preliminary information, he was moving into the far-right lane in preparation for a right turn when he collided with a MAZ truck carrying a cement tanker that was already travelling in the rightmost lane.
The tanker carrying 26 tonnes of cement overturned onto the roadway. Two of the three traffic lanes were blocked as a result of the accident.
A female passenger in the passenger car, born in 1949, was taken to hospital.
