Car Stolen in Germany Worth $74,000 Detained at Belarusian Border

Polish border guards at the Terespol checkpoint detained an Audi car that had been stolen in Germany.

The vehicle was leaving Poland for Belarus. It was being driven by a 25-year-old German citizen. During the inspection, border guards established that the car, manufactured in 2006, had been reported stolen in Germany. Its value is estimated at 270,000 zlotys ($74,000).

A criminal case has been opened. The driver was detained and the car was seized, according to the Polish Border Guard.
