Belarusian car brand BelGee continues to increase sales in Russia. According to data from the Avtostat agency, 5,741 vehicles of the Belarusian brand were sold in Russia last month, up 47.1% compared with the same month last year.
In January–April, BelGee sales in the neighbouring country rose by 83% to 10,417 units.
In April, the Belarusian brand’s market share stood at 4.88%, and at 4.85% over the four-month period.
Unlike previous months, no BelGee model entered the Russian market’s top 10 in April.
Overall, Russia’s car market grew by 9.6% in January–April to 382,450 units. Lada remained the market leader, although its sales fell by 9.5% to 95,680 units. It was followed by Haval (52,100 units, up 18.2% year-on-year), Tenet (38,850 units) and Geely (22,520 units, down 2.6%).
