Belarusian state bodies and organizations have received about 1 million rubles from Russia as part of the implementation of an agreement with the Russian Federation on enforcement documents under which state bodies and budget-funded organizations are the claimants.
“During the five months of practical application of the agreement, more than 2,300 payments totaling about 28 million Russian rubles, or about 1 million Belarusian rubles, have already been transferred to the account of the Belarusian Ministry of Justice,” Justice Minister Yauhen Kavalenka said while presenting a bill on ratification of the agreement to the House of Representatives, BelTA reports.
The Ministry of Justice will subsequently transfer the funds to the recipients. Russian legislation stipulates that recovered funds may be transferred only to the claimant’s account. The agreement provides that in the case of Belarusian state bodies and budget-funded organizations, the funds may be credited to an account of the Ministry of Justice opened in Russia.
