Belarusian Foreign Ministry Expresses Concern Over Situation Around Taiwan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has issued a statement regarding the situation around Taiwan.

The ministry said it is monitoring developments and supports the actions of the Chinese government.

“The Republic of Belarus is closely monitoring the development of the situation around the island of Taiwan.

We support all efforts by the Chinese government to achieve national reunification and to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement said.

The Belarusian foreign ministry emphasized that interference in the internal affairs of other countries leads to escalating tensions and destabilization.

“No state has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries or to exert pressure, including through political, financial, military, or other forms of support.

Such actions lead to an escalation of tensions, destabilize the situation, and disrupt the balance in the Asia-Pacific region, ultimately undermining the foundations of international security,” the ministry said.

It should be recalled that China is conducting large-scale military exercises near Taiwan, including practicing the blockade of key ports.
