The State Customs Committee reported that three shipments of pears destined for Russia had been intercepted. Trucks carrying the cargo were stopped by officers of the operational customs service at the border with the neighboring country.
In total, 60 tons of pears worth more than 450,000 rubles were being transported.
“None of the drivers was able to present the necessary transportation documents to customs officers. They also lacked certificates confirming the safety of the products,” the State Customs Committee said.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the Belarusian carriers.
