The Ambassador of Belarus to Zimbabwe Yury Mikalaychyk presented credentials to the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Following the ceremony, a meeting was held during which the parties discussed the full range of Belarus–Zimbabwe relations and confirmed the strategic level of partnership. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Roadmap for Strategic Cooperation for 2026–2030, which includes joint projects in the fields of industrial cooperation, agricultural mechanisation and humanitarian interaction.
Mikalaychyk emphasised Minsk’s readiness for “further expansion of practical cooperation contributing to sustainable economic growth and prosperity of Zimbabwe”.
Mnangagwa highly praised Belarus’s contribution to the country’s development and expressed confidence in the continuation of mutually beneficial contacts. Mikalaychyk also conveyed to the President of Zimbabwe a congratulatory message from Alyaksandr Lukashenka on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian foreign ministry reported.
