Belarusbank has introduced a fee for accepting cash Russian roubles. The fee will be charged to non-resident individuals when funds are credited to current bank accounts, including accounts linked to debit bank cards.
The fee is set at 5% of the amount deposited. It will be charged in Belarusian roubles at the National Bank exchange rate on the day of the transaction.
The fee will apply:
- to accounts opened from June 24, 2026 — from the date the account is opened;
- to accounts opened earlier — from August 1, 2026.
Earlier, six banks announced similar fees ranging from 2% to 5%: MTBank, BNB Bank, Technobank, Alfa Bank, Sber Bank and Zepter Bank.
