Belarus and Russia Hold First Export Control Consultations

Belarus’s State Authority for Military Industry and Russia’s Federal Service for Technical and Export Control held their first meeting under a new mechanism of regular consultations on export control. The chairman of the Belarusian authority, Dzmitry Pantus, hosted the Russian delegation in Minsk.

As noted by the committee, the sides discussed improving control mechanisms for foreign trade operations involving dual-use and controlled goods within mutual trade.

A joint action plan on information cooperation in export control and the optimisation of export control mechanisms was signed. In addition, the sides signed an agreement on information cooperation in the field of export control.

During the visit, the Russian delegation also visited a number of Belarusian enterprises within the system of the State Authority for Military Industry.
