On June 27, the Belarusian cultural music festival Varušniak. Kupalle will bring together Belarusians in Warsaw at REJS Club to celebrate the magical night of Kupalle.
The main feature of the fourth edition of Varušniak will be a change of format. This year, the organizers are slowing the pace, focusing on a more intimate atmosphere, ambient music, live acoustic sets and a lecture program. The central intrigue of the 15-hour marathon promises to be the performance of a secret guest from Paris.
Who, When and Where?
The event, spread across two music stages — VIANOK and SKALA — will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until 6:00 a.m. the following day. Visitors can expect 15 hours of music, lectures, workshops and community spirit. The musical line-up features more than 20 artists, ranging from folk to experimental electronic music.
So who will be performing?
SCENA VIANOK: Alex Chumak (musician and vocalist of SOYUZ), Applepicker, Emil Zenko, Koloah, Kovvalsky, op1van, Sakrum, Snake Two, Startsev, Yunis, Zal.
SCENA SKALA: the renowned Šuma, the legendary project I/DEX, Ilya Semashkevich, Raketka, Elvira, Feel&Flow, Mufer, Plastik, Pridi, and Samogulov.
One of the festival’s biggest surprises will be a performance by a Paris-based sound producer together with the op1van project. The organizers are keeping the mystery alive, but attentive music fans and journalists can easily discover online that the artist behind the name is none other than Ukrainian singer and musician Ivan Dorn.

Bonfire Procession, Lecture Program and Kupalle Quiz
In addition to its extensive music program, Varušniak is preparing a rich lineup of activities designed to help visitors experience the spirit of the ancient holiday in a modern setting.
Among the planned events are:
- Workshops on wreath weaving, a ceremonial women’s singing procession and, of course, a traditional Kupalle bonfire.
- A cozy market featuring crafts by Belarusian artisans, a food court and art spaces.
- An intellectual lecture program, including an exploration of colorful Belarusian idioms with Palina PAKRYSIE, and a talk by Tatsiana Makarevich about the love story of Marc Chagall and his muse Bella.
- A Kupalle-themed individual quiz hosted by Paval Sviardlou.
The organizers invite visitors to experience this Kupalle celebration as a large family gathering that inspires strength, reconnects people with their roots and loved ones, and fills them with support and affection.
