A 35-year-old woman who worked as an accountant at a state-run organization in Astravets has become the subject of a criminal investigation.
According to police, she lost 100,000 rubles of state funds at a casino. The woman transferred the money to her bank card and then used it to place bets at the casino. She disguised the transfers as purchases of office supplies and payments for services by entering false information in accounting documents. In addition, she failed to record some of the cash received through the cash register and deposited it into her own account.
