Inga Ruginienė, Prime Minister of Lithuania, said that a significant share of trucks operated by Lithuanian carriers that had been blocked in Belarus has already returned to work.

“We have information that a significant number of trucks are already continuing to operate, traveling between Lithuania and Belarus. A small number are still in Belarus. We are working on this, but the situation is being resolved gradually,” she was quoted as saying by Delfi.

Ruginienė did not specify how many trucks have already resumed their routes. According to the outlet, the head of government expressed confidence that this was a positive result of US diplomacy as well as the work of Lithuanian institutions.

“We remember that threats will always exist, but we should also remember that our institutions are preparing and adapting to these complex situations. We are no longer the same as we were two months ago. We have taken many steps, changed many algorithms, and already now we can say with confidence that some things are indeed happening differently,” she added.
