Unfinished Building Demolished in Central Homiel After State Control Committee Intervention

Following intervention by the State Control Committee, a private developer had a plot of land containing an unfinished building seized, and the incomplete structure was demolished.

Construction of a business center at the intersection of Kirava and Khataevicha streets in central Homiel began more than five years ago. However, the building was not initially included in the database of projects with construction delays exceeding the regulatory timeframe, the State Control Committee reports.

Following the committee’s intervention, the site was added to the list of unfinished construction projects. Since the private developer failed to meet its obligations to complete the building, the allocated land plot was seized and the building was demolished.

The land has been rehabilitated and returned to Homiel’s land reserves. The plot is now planned to be sold at auction for investment purposes.
