A support service employee of a transport company has been detained in Minsk, the Minsk City Executive Committee’s police department said.
A company representative contacted the police, reporting suspicious activity in internal databases containing client information.
Police identified a 21-year-old support service employee who had access to the database.
“The young man mentioned his place of work on an online forum and later received an offer from an unknown individual to sell client information. He agreed, fulfilled all the conditions and received payment to a crypto wallet — about 2,000 roubles in equivalent,” the police said.
A criminal case has been opened.
