Three settlements were affected by strong winds over the past 24 hours. An orange weather alert was in force in Belarus on Sunday and Monday.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations report, the strongest wind, reaching 23 m/s, was recorded at the Vialiki Mezhnik weather station in the Mahiliou Region.
Two settlements were affected in the Mahiliou Region and one in the Hrodna Region. Roofs of a social infrastructure facility, two agricultural buildings and five other structures were damaged. No injuries were reported.
“A total of 33 cases of fallen trees were recorded in the Brest (4), Vitsyebsk (2), Homiel (2), Hrodna (10), Minsk (1) and Mahiliou (8) regions, as well as in Minsk (6). Two cars were damaged by fallen trees in Minsk,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
