Three Belarusian Citizens Arrested at Illegal Tobacco Factory in Poland

The Polish Border Guard, together with the Central Bureau of Police Investigation, shut down an illegal tobacco factory. Three Belarusian citizens and one Polish citizen were arrested.

The factory was operating in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. A tobacco product packaging line was discovered during a search. Authorities seized 400,000 cigarettes, boxes, packaging bearing well-known brand names and raw materials used to manufacture excise goods.

The four detainees were charged with participation in an organised criminal group involved in the illegal trade in cigarettes. A court ordered all of them to be held in pre-trial detention for three months.
