The Interior Ministry has designated the Telegram chat “Belarusians in Valencia” as an “extremist formation.” The decision was adopted on 10 March.
In connection with the formation, the list mentions Mikita Tretsiakevich, Maryna Korzh, Uladzimir Likholap, Aleh Buryagyn, Alyaksandra Lunyova, Vitalina Krent, Aliaksei Nosau and Aliaksei Nestsiarenka.
The chat brings together Belarusians living in Valencia, Spain. It has more than 360 members.
Accusations of extremism are used by the Belarusian authorities to fight opponents as well as to persecute dissent in general.
