Taxi Driver in Minsk Faces Migration Law Review After Dispute With Passenger

Police in Minsk are investigating a dispute between a taxi driver and two female passengers.

According to the Interior Ministry, which reported the incident, a 29-year-old Minsk resident filed a complaint with the Maskouski District Police Department. She said that during a taxi ride with a friend, a dispute broke out between her and the driver. According to the complainant, the driver struck her during the argument. Police identified the driver as a 30-year-old foreign national.

Police are establishing the circumstances of the incident. An investigation is under way, after which the authorities said appropriate measures would be taken, including under migration legislation.
