Belarusian Cigarettes Found in Rail Wagon Loaded With Gravel at Polish Border

Polish customs officers have intercepted another shipment of smuggled cigarettes at the Belarusian border.

The contraband was discovered at the rail terminal in Małaszewicze. During an inspection of a freight train using an X-ray scanner, one of the wagons loaded with gravel aroused suspicion. A subsequent search uncovered 4,000 packs of Belarusian cigarettes hidden inside.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated, the Polish customs service reported.
