State Military Industry Committee Presents “Fire Tank”

The State Military Industry Committee presented the tracked firefighting vehicle GPM-72. It was developed jointly with the company Pozhsnab and is manufactured at the enterprise 140th Repair Plant.

According to the committee, the vehicle is designed to extinguish category-4 fires, including in difficult forest terrain and high-risk zones such as military depots and industrial bases.

“The vehicle is equipped with an armored hull that reliably protects the crew from explosions and fragments. This is critically important when extinguishing fires at fuel and lubricant depots, ammunition warehouses and other infrastructure facilities where the risk of detonation is extremely high,” the committee said.

The statement also lists the vehicle’s specifications:

— armored chassis hull;
— water monitor mast with a height of 6 meters while in operation;
— tracked running gear;
— fire pump unit with capacity of up to 2,500 liters per minute;
— tank capacity of up to 10 tons of water;
— pump output of 4,000 liters per minute with a built-in foam mixer.
