“Sovereign World” Added to List of “Extremist Materials”

The Ministry of Information has updated the list of “extremist materials.”

According to a decision by the Central District Court of Minsk dated March 16, the website “Sovereign World” has been added to the list, along with numerous social media accounts associated with it, including those of Mikalai Burau. The website states that Burau signed the declaration of the “Sovereign World” entity in 2018 and became its founder.

The Telegram channel “Skhod Neabyiakavykh” has also been included in the list.

It should be recalled that extremism-related charges are used in Belarus to target opponents and suppress dissent more broadly.
