Emergency Situations Ministry units responded to a report of smoke in the basement of the six-story surgical building of a hospital in the agrotown of Liasny, Minsk district.
Rescuers inspected the building and determined that the smoke was caused by a short circuit in a ceiling light fixture. No fire broke out following the short circuit.
No one was injured, and no evacuation was carried out. Eleven emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene, the ministry’s press service reported.
