Lukashenka Decides to Award Anniversary Medal to Delegates of All People’s Assembly Convocations

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed an order awarding the anniversary medal “30 Years of the Belarusian People’s Congress”. The medal will go to delegates from all seven convocations of the Belarusian People’s Congress (BPC), as well as “those who have made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of popular government in Belarus”.

“This decision was made in recognition of their service to the country and to mark the 30th anniversary of the first Belarusian People’s Congress. In 1996, the BPC played a decisive role in the country’s destiny. Today, having become a constitutional body, it serves as the foundation for the sovereign and successful development of the state and society, the preservation of a stable political course, peace and harmony on Belarusian soil,” Lukashenka’s press service said.
