Six Electoral Groups Seek To Take Part In Coordination Council Elections

The Election Commission for the Coordination Council elections has received documents from six electoral groups.

“At the moment, the Election Commission has received documents from six lists. All lists have received codes for candidates to complete the forms. Four lists are at the final stage before registration — the individual electoral verification process”, Election Commission Chair Alena Prykhodzka said.

The following electoral lists have been submitted:

  • European Choice — 17 people, led by Valery Matskevich,
  • “Law and Order” — 12 people, led by Siarhei Makar,
  • “Latushka Coalition and the For Freedom Movement” — 38 people, led by Pavel Latushka and Yury Hubarevich,
  • Belarusian Political Prisoners Bloc “Belarus in Action” — 12 people, led by Yury Zenkovich,
  • “Enough Being Afraid!” — 13 people, led by Tatsiana Martynava,
  • United Civic Platform — 22 people, led by Mikalai Kazlou.

The submission of lists will end on March 31. Elections to the Coordination Council will take place on May 11-17.
