The human rights situation in Belarus will be reviewed at the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
On Sept. 18, the council will hold an interactive dialogue with the Group of Independent Experts on the Human Rights Situation in Belarus. The group will present an updated report on the situation in the country.
Belarus has been included under Item 4 of the session’s agenda. Alongside Belarus, the UN Human Rights Council will review the situation in Ukraine resulting from Russian aggression, as well as developments in Nicaragua, Venezuela, Burundi, Russia and Iran.
The UN Human Rights Council session will take place in September and October this year.
