As the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service stated, the speaker highly praised his visit to Belarus in May, where he took part in the 2nd International Inter-Party Conference, “State Sovereignty and the Principles of International Relations in Conditions of Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st Century.”
The sides discussed the development of political and economic cooperation and the strengthening of humanitarian ties. Mudenda supported Belarus’ initiative to develop a preferential trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Zimbabwe.
“The parties noted the importance of continuing joint work on the implementation of Belarusian-Zimbabwean projects in the areas of agricultural mechanisation and food security, industrial cooperation, energy, digitalisation and education, as well as intensifying humanitarian exchanges and contacts between youth organisations of the two countries.”, the press release said.
The speaker conveyed a message of gratitude to the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Ihar Siarheenka, and invited him to visit Zimbabwe on a return visit.
