Moonshiner From Maladzyechna District Caught Again Producing Illegal Alcohol

Traffic police in the Maladzyechna District discovered a large shipment of moonshine being transported without the required documentation.

Inspectors from the Maladzyechna District Department of Internal Affairs stopped a Mercedes truck driven by a 32-year-old man. During the inspection, they found 104 polymer containers filled with moonshine in the cargo area.

Authorities established that the alcohol belonged to a 34-year-old owner of a private smallholding in the Maladzyechna District. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs statement, the man had previously been held accountable several times for illegally producing moonshine.

About 2,500 liters of the alcohol were seized. An inquiry is underway, and a forensic examination has been ordered.

The ministry reminded the public that producing, storing and transporting alcoholic beverages and their semi-finished products without the appropriate license is punishable by a fine of up to 30 base units, along with confiscation of the items involved in the offense.
