The EU-sanctioned holding Horizont plans to produce 4 million electronic devices in 2026, Yury Predko, CEO of JSC Horizont Holding Management Company — who was also added to the EU sanctions list yesterday — said in an interview with BelTA. The holding marks the 85th anniversary of its founding today.
“The team’s outlook and plans for next year are to double production volumes. We plan to manufacture over 4 million units of equipment next year, including both small and large household appliances. That’s roughly 300,000 units per month, or about 20,000 per day. This is made possible through full automation and the introduction of robotics, which improve productivity and quality control while reducing costs,” he said.
According to Predko, the holding opened three new factories this year, including one producing AI-powered devices.
“This factory is unique — most of the work there is done by robots. It produces extra-large televisions with screens of up to 116 inches, weighing around 100–120 kilograms. Each TV is roughly the size of a small car and requires at least four people to carry manually. Because of their size and weight, movement is handled by automated and robotic systems. The production process uses computer-controlled robotic stations that perform nearly 500 measuring operations automatically, ensuring high precision and quality. These processes make it possible to produce one television every two seconds, something impossible to achieve manually,” he explained.
The holding’s new product line will include tablets.
“Mass production of Belarusian tablets will begin in November, with large-scale retail shipments planned for December ahead of the New Year holidays. This will launch modern high-tech production lines that ensure consistent quality and output,” Predko added.
The necessary equipment for the production line has already been purchased.
