Aleksandr Lukashenko demanded during today’s meeting in the Vitebsk region that order be restored in the agricultural sector by November 1. Before that, he criticized the region for its poor performance.
“I didn’t come to the Vitebsk region to scare you. We’ve been working together for 30 years — you know my approach. If you didn’t understand me or tried to deceive me, everything will now be tightened to the limit,” he said.
“After today’s meeting, district executive committee chairmen must call in their chief specialists and managers and convey to them the severity of this conversation. They have until November 7 — no more — to restore strict order in their farms. They, the managers and specialists, must gather the machine operators, milkers, and others. And by January 1, everything you have must be cleaned and polished,” he continued.
Lukashenko also instructed local officials to seek assistance from other enterprises.
“That’s it, men. The nonsense is over,” he warned.
