The outlet Buromedia.io examined state procurement data to find out who is buying books about Aleksandr Lukashenko. The documentary-biographical essay “Our President” was presented in January 2025. The book was produced by a team including Aleksandr Radkov, Natalya Eismont, Vladimir Pertsov, and Aleksandr Karlyukevich.
According to tender documents, from January to October 2025, Belarusian state institutions purchased more than 1,300 copies of the book, spending about 260,000 rubles from the state budget.
The largest buyers were centers that provide logistical and administrative support for budgetary organizations — a total of 45 institutions purchased 623 copies. Another 247 copies were ordered by regional executive committees and their subdivisions.
In total, 132 books were sent to law enforcement and security agencies, including the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Investigative Committee, the Customs Committee, the Interior Ministry’s Department for the Execution of Sentences, as well as military units and others.
About 100 copies went to educational institutions, 50 to district executive committees and local administrations, and 38 were purchased by museums and libraries.
Among the buyers were also ministries that purchased 31 copies collectively, including the Ministries of Agriculture, Information, Antimonopoly Regulation, Taxes and Duties, Justice, and Architecture and Construction. City executive committees ordered another 20 copies.
