Russia launched a strike on Kyiv overnight today. The Kyiv region was also attacked.
Eight people have been killed and 33 injured in the Ukrainian capital.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, an industrial site was hit. Fires in two warehouses covering 500 and 1,000 square meters have been contained. Another large warehouse was hit elsewhere.
In the Solomianskyi district, the eighth and ninth floors of a nine-story residential building were destroyed. Medical facilities were damaged.
Another warehouse was hit in the Darnytskyi district.
Poland scrambled fighter jets and raised the readiness of its air defenses today in response to Russia’s use of long-range weapons.

The death toll has risen to 12. Thirty-four people were injured. Rescuers continue to work at the sites of the strikes.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used various types of ballistic missiles against Kyiv today, 36 Kh-101/Iskander-K/Kh-59 cruise missiles, eight Kalibr cruise missiles, two Banderoль loitering munitions, as well as 168 attack drones.
Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down or suppress 31 Kh-101/Iskander-K/Kh-59 cruise missiles, eight Kalibr missiles, two Banderoль loitering munitions and 145 attack drones.
Hits were recorded at 28 locations, while debris fell in two locations.
