Restrictions and Bans on Forest Visits Introduced Across Most of Belarus

Restrictions and bans on visiting forests have been introduced across most of Belarus. This is shown by data from the Forestry Ministry’s interactive map. The only district free of restrictive measures is the Rasony district of the Vitsyebsk region.

Full bans are in place in 10 districts of the Vitsyebsk region — Beshankovichy, Vitsyebsk, Dokshytsy, Lepiel, Liozna, Polatsk, Senna, Talachyn, Ushachy, Chashniki and Shumilina districts; in 14 districts of the Homiel region — Brahin, Vetka, Homiel, Dobrush, Yelsk, Zhitkavichy, Kalinkavichy, Loyeu, Mazyr, Naroulia, Aktsiabrski, Petrykau, Sviatlahorsk and Khoiniki districts; in 12 districts of the Minsk region — Biarezina, Barysau, Valozhyn, Dziarzhynsk, Krupki, Lahojsk, Liuban, Minsk, Pukhavichy, Smaliavichy, Salihorsk and Chervyen districts; and in almost all districts of the Mahiliou region, except Horki, Drybin and Shklou districts, where restrictions rather than full bans have been introduced.

According to the Emergencies Ministry, four forest fires, one peat fire and 92 grass fires were extinguished in Belarus over the past 24 hours. The forest fires occurred in the Brest, Homiel and Mahiliou regions.
