Forecasters Warn of Strong Winds on Monday

Strong westerly winds with gusts of 15-20 metres per second are expected across most of Belarus on Monday afternoon. An orange weather alert has been issued.

Weather conditions in the country will be influenced by active atmospheric fronts from a cyclone moving from the North Sea towards southern Finland. Variable cloud cover, brief rain showers and, in some places during the day, sleet are expected. Thunderstorms are also possible. Temperatures will range from +2C to +8C at night and from +7C to +13C during the day.
