The Investigative Committee has uncovered a scheme for stealing meat in the Kobryn district. The scheme involved a veterinary doctor and employees of a slaughter facility: a sausage casing maker and a cleaner. A fourth accomplice was responsible for selling the stolen products.
According to investigators, after livestock supplied by agricultural enterprises was slaughtered, the veterinary doctor cut pieces of meat from the carcasses during sanitary inspection. She then removed the products together with her accomplices and sold them to acquaintances.
Over three months, products worth about 9,000 rubles were stolen.
“Residents of the Kobryn district admitted their guilt and compensated the state enterprise for the damage caused. Following the investigation, they were charged under Part 2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement through abuse of official powers committed by a group of persons by prior agreement),” the Investigative Committee said.
