Polish Fighter Jets Intercept Russian Reconnaissance Aircraft

On August 31, Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea. Poland’s Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said this on social media.

“Russia once again tested our deterrence and air defense systems. In the morning, 30 km north of Łeba, our fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft. There was no violation of our airspace over the Baltic Sea,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote.
