Polish Border Guards Detain Belarusian With 111 kg of Hashish

Polish border guards have detained a citizen of Belarus after 111 kg of hashish was found in his truck.

According to the Border Guard, the vehicle was stopped for inspection near the border with Lithuania. The documents indicated that the truck was transporting spare parts for vehicles. It was being driven by a Belarusian citizen.

The truck was sent through a scanner and then thoroughly searched. A total of 275 packages of hashish were found inside. The value of the seized batch is estimated at 5.7 million zlotys, or about 1.5 million US dollars.

The detainee has been charged with large-scale drug trafficking. By court decision, he has been placed under arrest for three months.
