Poland’s Ministry of Interior and Administration has adjusted its sanctions against businessman Alexander Moshensky (Alyaksandr Mashenski). According to the ministry’s decision, he has been removed from the list of foreign nationals whose presence in the country is considered undesirable. Other sanction measures against the businessman remain unchanged.
The decision states that the ministry became aware that Alexander Moshensky and his immediate family members hold citizenship of Cyprus. This makes it impossible, under current legislation, to enforce the measure placing the businessman on the list of undesirable persons. The decision by the Polish ministry was noted by Vadim Sekhovich.
Poland imposed national sanctions on Alexander Moshensky in July this year. They include the freezing of all financial assets and economic resources, a ban on providing any funds — directly or through intermediaries — and a prohibition on participating in public procurement and tenders in Poland.
