A meeting between Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping at the APEC summit in China could take place, but no preparations for it are currently underway, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“No meeting has been scheduled so far. Hypothetically, it cannot be ruled out, but the time will come, and if the three of them do indeed find themselves in the same place, some initiatives will then be undertaken through diplomatic channels. There are no such plans at the moment,” he said.
The summit will take place in November. Peskov also noted that the Russian and Chinese presidents may speak on the sidelines of the summit, but are unlikely to discuss anything in detail.
