The Russian city of Voronezh came under a drone attack today. According to Russian authorities, 113 drones were shot down over the Voronezh Region, including more than 70 over the city of Voronezh.

“Fires broke out at several industrial facilities (with no significant consequences), at a business centre in the city centre, an apartment building, two summer cottage settlements, a school stadium and a garage cooperative. Damage to facades and windows has been reported in almost every district of the city,” regional governor Alexander Gusev said.

Two people were killed and 17 injured. Most of the injured were on a train hit by falling drone debris in the outskirts of Voronezh.

Russian Railways reported damage to a section of the railway network. Train services in the region have been suspended due to a loss of voltage in the overhead power lines on the Tresvyatskaya–Somovo–Otrozhka–Voronezh section.

According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, the Voronezh Aircraft Plant and the Voronezhsintezkauchuk petrochemical plant may have been among the targets.
