Nuns From Minsk Monastery Supporting War In Ukraine Spotted In Corsica

Nuns from the St. Elisabeth Monastery were seen selling their goods on the French island of Corsica. The information was received by Christian Vision from Catholic parishes on the island.

In 2025, the nuns had already visited Corsica. In particular, the parish of Bonifacio published a notice about their visit. The notice stated that the Minsk monastery was allegedly raising money for an orphanage and a psychiatric hospital.

The St. Elisabeth Monastery and its spiritual leader, Archpriest Andrei Lemiashonak, are known for publicly supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine. The monastery has repeatedly organised events in support of Russian aggression. In recent years, the nuns have been expelled from Christmas markets in several European countries.
