Mobile operator Life has announced the launch of its 5G network. It is already available in Minsk, Brest, Vitsyebsk, Mahiliou and Homiel.
The network is being launched in stages in partnership with unified infrastructure operator beCloud.
“Life was the first operator to provide its customers with full access to fifth-generation technology. We are confident this will be a completely new experience for subscribers. Life is the only mobile operator that has completed all the necessary work and is technologically fully ready to provide 5G services to its subscribers. As the infrastructure operator, we ensured the operation of the 5G network from Jan. 1, 2026, and provided all operators with the opportunity to offer services to their subscribers,” said Aleh Sadzelnik, chief executive of infrastructure operator beCloud.
Life subscribers currently have access to more than 1,000 5G base stations. Coverage is expected to expand gradually.
The availability of 5G depends not only on signal strength in a particular location, but also on the phone model and its firmware version. At present, only owners of certain Android devices can use the network. To do so, users need to select a mode with 5G support in their phone settings.
Life has become the first mobile operator to fully launch a fifth-generation network in Belarus. In May 2025, operator A1 tested 5G for several days at the site of the parade in Minsk.
