Belarusian Woman Injured During Hike On Mount Olympus Rescued In Greece

Rescuers assisted a 50-year-old Belarusian citizen who was injured while hiking on Mount Olympus in Greece. The incident occurred near the Holy Cave in the afternoon of Aug. 15, the In.gr portal reports.

At around 3:30 p.m., the fire service operations center received a report of the incident. The woman called 112. Rescuers determined her location and dispatched five firefighters in two vehicles from the fire services in Katerini and Litochoro.

The rescuers reached the injured woman, placed her on a stretcher and took her to a safe location. She was then handed over to an ambulance crew.
