Net Profit of Belarusian Enterprises Rises 7.2% in January-May

Belstat has published data on the financial performance of organisations for January-May 2026.

Belstat’s preliminary report does not include banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, budget-funded organisations or organisations with fewer than 50 employees that do not submit departmental reports.

In January-May, organisations’ revenue increased by 8.6% to 183.84 billion rubles. In May, it amounted to about 48.6 billion rubles, unchanged from April.

The cost of goods sold rose by 8.6% to 191.8 billion rubles.

Net profit increased by 7.2% to 10.32 billion rubles, including 2.46 billion rubles in May.

The return on sales stood at 6.5%, down 0.1 percentage points from the same period last year.

A total of 1,917 organisations were loss-making in January-May, 26% more than in the same period last year.

Accounts receivable stood at 110.6 billion rubles as of June 1. They increased by 5.1 billion rubles in May and by 4.7% since the beginning of the year.

Accounts payable rose by 5.2 billion rubles in May to 128.7 billion rubles and increased by 3.9% since the beginning of the year.

Debt on loans and borrowings increased by 1.2% since the beginning of the year to 143.9 billion rubles.
