FESCO Launches Container Train From Belarus to Novorossiysk

Russian logistics operator FESCO has dispatched its first container train from Belarus to Novorossiysk.

The train covered the route from Kalyadzichy station to the Black Sea port in five days. The cargo will then be shipped to the ports of Istanbul and Gebze via the FESCO Turkey Black Sea maritime service.

At the initial stage, expedited container trains from Minsk will be formed once a month.

“The new service is designed to transport export cargo from Belarusian producers via Novorossiysk with minimal transit time and subsequent shipment through the Group’s international lines. It allows customers to place transport orders for consignments of any size, starting from a single container, and also provides Belarusian exporters with a single logistics chain for deliveries to markets in India, the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa and Southeast Asia, which are part of FESCO’s extensive route network via Novorossiysk”, the company said in a statement.
