Latushka and Kuchynski Provide Polish President’s Chancellery With Information on Repression

Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet and Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management Pavel Latushka and Director of Tsikhanouskaya’s Office in Vilnius Dzianis Kuchynski held a meeting at the Chancellery of the President of Poland. They were received by Secretary of State and Head of the International Policy Bureau Marcin Przydacz.

During the meeting, the Polish president’s chancellery was presented with information on the continuing repression in Belarus, as well as the regime’s cross-border crimes against Belarusians living in Poland.

Latushka and Kuchynski stressed the importance of maintaining pressure on Aliaksandr Lukashenka, as he has not backed away from his domestic repressive policies and continues to support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Latushka provided the Polish president’s chancellery with information, based on a report by the National Anti-Crisis Management, on Lukashenka’s preparations to participate in the active phase of the aggression against Ukraine. The chancellery was also briefed on a security meeting held by the United Transitional Cabinet.

The Belarusian side presented its vision of a national dialogue in Belarus. It was noted that in 1989, it was the round table that helped Poland transition from dictatorship to democracy.

The Belarusian side also thanked Przydacz for his support and noted the importance of unity between the Polish president and government in supporting democratic forces and future democratic changes in Belarus. Latushka and Kuchynski, on behalf of the United Transitional Cabinet and Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, expressed gratitude to President Karol Nawrocki for continuing the tradition of Christmas receptions for the Belarusian community.
