On July 10, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou received copies of the credentials of Maung Maung Soe, Myanmar’s first ambassador to Belarus.
“The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations in light of the agreements reached at the highest level, primarily in the trade and economic sphere. Particular attention was paid to implementing the Roadmap for the Development of Bilateral Cooperation for 2026–2028, carrying out joint industrial cooperation projects, and further improving the legal framework governing bilateral cooperation,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
The two sides also discussed steps to strengthen bilateral ties, including the opening of a Belarusian embassy in Myanmar and the holding of the first meeting of the Joint Belarus–Myanmar Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation in Minsk.
