Those wishing to leave are being transported in 25 buses. The convoy was accompanied by nine ambulances and more than 50 medical workers, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova reported.
Some local residents decided to remain in Oleshky. Humanitarian aid was left for them, Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets said.
He noted that the ceasefire had not been violated so far.
“A very large shipment of humanitarian aid was delivered. It has already been unloaded. Some of it has already been distributed to residents, while the rest will be handed out a little later. Assistance is now being provided to those who want to leave. There are separate buses for those wishing to travel to the territory of the Russian Federation, and separate buses for those wishing to go to Ukraine. Everything has been prepared as thoroughly as possible,” Lubinets said.
Both commissioners thanked Melania Trump for her assistance.
As previously reported, those wishing to travel to Ukraine will be taken by bus to Anapa and then flown to Belarus. From Belarus, the evacuated residents of Oleshky will be able to travel to Ukraine.
