Minsk Tractor Works Plans To Deliver 6,000 Tractors To Africa

Alyaksandr Aksenchyk, deputy marketing director for commercial operations in distant markets at the Minsk Tractor Works, said that the company intends to supply around 6,000 tractors to Africa in 2026.

He noted that MTZ machinery has been familiar to many African countries since Soviet times.

“Many countries, especially in the African region, received our equipment back in the Soviet era. It has proven itself as simple to operate, reliable, and maintainable. Local communities see tractors that have been running for 30–40 years and still work well. This creates additional competitive advantages for us,” he said.

According to Aksenchyk, MTZ delivered about 2,000 units to African markets in 2025. “In 2026, we plan to supply around 6,000 units,” he added.
